Singita Lodge

The main role of the Banakeli is to host and serve guests in line with the Singita Standards of Excellence and SOPs

Previous experience in guest service
Excellent waitering and hosting skills
Food and Beverage knowledge of its preparation and terminology.
Understanding of dietaries.
High standards of service excellence and a passion for the industry.
Excellent presentation and people skills.
The ability to work as an individual and as a team
The ability to communicate with guests of all races and languages
An understanding of the etiquette involved in hosting guests of different cultures.
Exceptional English reading, writing, and speaking ability
Passion in terms of Service Excellence and be willing to grow in this area
Resilience and flexibility
Visible presence with guests by hosting and interacting
Rwanda citizen or a holder of a valid work permit

Reports to the Head Banakeli, Anchors, Lodge Manager and Assistant Lodge Manger.
Ensure ultimate guest relations in the lodge and that the "at home" personal attention levels are maintained
Carrying out assigned tasks effectively and efficiently
Ensuring that the guest and service areas of the lodge are always kept clean and tidy.
Work according to agreed rosters and work hours and complete required tasks
Correct use and maintenance of equipment
Communication with departmental teams to ensure that guest needs are met, and operations run effectively
Achieving service excellence through Teamwork
Active participation in and effective communication and support of Singita's conservation message and prupose; as well as constantly looking for ways to further 'green' lodge operations.
All roles at Singita may be required to perform other tasks as reasonably requested from time to time andas required by the business and/or operation. Singita fosters a culture of collaboration, and with this support of the multi-skilling of staff
