About The Job

The Director of Growth & Business Development – Rwanda will lead B2B and B2C sales, market expansion, strategic partnerships, and financial oversight for the Company in Rwanda. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing P&L at the country level, and ensuring operational execution while collaborating with the group finance team for broader financial strategy.

Specific Skills
  • 8+ years of experience in B2B & B2C sales, business development, or P&L management.
  • Experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and revenue optimization.
  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition strategies, B2B partnerships, and telecom operations.
  • Strong background in sales leadership and financial oversight (budgeting, forecasting, and revenue optimization).
  • Proven track record in driving revenue growth, contract negotiation, and enterprise partnerships.
  • Experience in telecom, fintech, ICT, digital finance, or SaaS industries.
  • Ability to develop and execute growth strategies, driving large-scale adoption.
  • Strong team leadership and performance management experience.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution and financial responsibility.
Responsibilities & Duties

1. B2B & B2C Sales Growth & Market Expansion (Primary Focus – 60%)

  • Develop and execute B2B and B2C sales strategies to drive revenue and market share growth.
  • Build and manage high-value partnerships with telecoms, enterprises, and financial institutions.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring strong deal structuring and long-term agreements.
  • Drive B2C customer acquisition & retention, ensuring strong brand penetration and adoption.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities for rapid market expansion.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to refine strategies.

2. P&L Management & Financial Oversight (30%)

  • Own and manage the P&L for Rwanda operations, ensuring revenue targets and cost efficiency.
  • Develop financial forecasts and budgeting strategies to support business growth.
  • Ensure strong financial controls, including cash flow management and risk mitigation.
  • Work with the group finance team to ensure compliance with local regulations and tax laws.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities to maximize profitability and EBITDA.

3. Leadership & Operational Execution (10%)

  • Lead & manage the Rwanda sales, marketing, and business development teams.
  • Oversee daily sales operations, ensuring smooth execution and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and mentor high-performing sales & customer acquisition teams.
  • Implement and refine go-to-market strategies, ensuring scalability.
  • Collaborate with regional and HQ teams to align with the company’s broader business objectives
Educational Requirements
  • MBA or Finance-related degree (preferred).
