About The Job

The Director of Partnerships and Resource Mobilization will lead RCSP’s efforts to establish and
sustain strategic partnerships while ensuring the organization secures resources to support its
mission and programs. The role emphasizes resource mobilization strategies, donor relationship
management, and innovative fundraising approaches.

Specific Skills
Experience
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in partnership building and resource mobilization.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with international or national NGOs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in program and project proposal development, including successful fundraising initiatives.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong proficiency in fundraising, donor engagement, and proposal writing.
  • Ability to build and sustain strategic partnerships and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Competence in budget preparation and project design.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Languages
  • Fluency in both English and French is required.
Responsibilities & Duties
Strategic Leadership in Partnerships and Resource Mobilization
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain strategic partnerships with donors, international organizations, governments, and private sector stakeholders.
  • Monitor global and regional funding trends to align organizational strategies with emerging opportunities.
Localization Agenda Coordination
  • Serve as RCSP's focal point for advancing aid localization efforts in Rwanda.
  • Establish and maintain the Charter for Change Working Group.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database on localization efforts and related developments.
  • Strengthen the capacities of RCSP members and other local CSOs on localization and associated fields.
Proposal Development and Resource Mobilization
  • Lead the development of high-quality, competitive funding proposals aligned with RCSP’s priorities and donor requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare budgets, program designs, and logical frameworks for proposals.
  • Organize diversified fundraising initiatives to ensure sustainable organizational funding.
Donor Engagement and Relationship Management
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with key donors and stakeholders.
  • Represent RCSP at donor meetings, forums, and networking events.
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements and maintain transparent communication, including timely submission of progress reports.
Capacity Building and Team Management
  • Provide training and capacity-building opportunities for staff on partnership building, proposal development, and resource mobilization.
  • Supervise and mentor team members involved in fundraising and partnership development.
Monitoring and Reporting
  • Track and assess the success of resource mobilization efforts, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on partnership and resource mobilization activities for both internal and external stakeholders.
Communication and Advocacy
  • Develop communication materials, including brochures, presentations, and reports, to highlight RCSP’s impact to potential donors and partners.
  • Advocate for RCSP’s mission and objectives at local, regional, and international forums.
Educational Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Development Studies, International Relations, Project Management, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
