5 or more years of experience in senior management.

Solid organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation.
Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision making and reporting.
Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities & Duties
To implement the strategic goals and objectives of Junior Achievement Rwanda:
With the Chairperson of the Board, enable the Board to fulfil its governance and functions
To give direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization’s philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives as per the attached job description
To lead the development process and training for the JA Rwanda team, ensuring succession planning as guided by the Board of Directors.
Major Functions/Accountabilities:
Board Administration and Support -- Supports operations and administration of Board by advising and informing Board members, interfacing between Board and staff, and supporting Board's evaluation of Executive Director
Program, Product and Service Delivery -- Oversees design, marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programs, products and services
Financial, Tax, Risk and Facilities Management – Recommends yearly budget for Board approval and prudently manages organization's resources within those budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations
Human Resource Management – Provides oversight in management of the human resources of the organization according to authorized personnel policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulations
Community and Public Relations -- Assures the organization and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders
Fundraising -- Oversees fundraising planning and implementation, including identifying resource requirements, researching funding sources, establishing strategies to approach funders, submitting proposals and administrating fundraising records and documentation
DELIVERABLES:
Maximize efficient delivery of the JA programs in order to allow JA to deliver the programs at minimal cost and maximum quality. Current costs per student should be cut by at least 5%.
Submit and follow up on at least 20 proposals to prospective donors per year. This should result in at least 5 new donors contributing to JA each year.
Maximize the publicity campaign and enhance JA brand recognition.
Explore new areas where the JA programs would be able to be administered, and funded, outside of the traditional school structures. This should account for at least 30% of JA’s funding by the end of year two of the contract.
Educational Requirements
A Master’s degree in Management and Business Administration, or Business leadership, Development Studies or Honours Degree in relevant fields.
