About The Job

The Executive Director will provide strategic leadership and operational excellence, driving the
organization's mission and objectives. As the primary executive, they will be responsible for overall
management of the RCSP Secretariat, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values, and
reporting directly to the Board of Directors.

Professional Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in:
    • Civil society sector
    • Non-profit management
    • Developmental organizations
  • Proven experience with:
    • International/national NGOs
    • Umbrella organizations
    • Civil society coordination

Responsibilities & Duties
Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans
  • Lead organizational advocacy and networking efforts
  • Represent RCSP in national and international forums
  • Ensure program alignment with organizational mission and vision
Operational Management
  • Oversee day-to-day Secretariat operations
  • Manage financial resources and budget allocation
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements
  • Conduct regular performance monitoring and reporting to the Board
  • Develop and maintain robust operational systems and procedures
Team Leadership and Development
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing staff
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable organizational culture
  • Promote professional growth and capacity building
  • Lead team performance management
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with:
    • International and national NGOs
    • Civil society organizations
    • Donor agencies
    • Government entities
  • Serve as primary organizational representative
  • Facilitate member organization collaboration
Resource Mobilization
  • Identify and secure diverse funding opportunities
  • Develop compelling grant proposals
  • Manage donor relationships
  • Ensure financial sustainability
Advocacy and Coordination
  • Promote policy initiatives advancing civil society interests
  • Coordinate activities among member organizations
  • Develop strategic external relationships
  • Represent organizational interests in multi-stakeholder platforms
Educational Requirements
Master's Degree in:
