About The Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization. This role will focus on enhancing profitability, sustainability, and ensuring compliance with national and international financial standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, risk management, and leading the finance team to drive the company's financial success.

Specific Skills
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with a proven track record in budgeting, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, especially those related to the National Bank of Rwanda.

  • Experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Excel).

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Analytical mindset with a deep understanding of financial trends, risks, and data analysis.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments and senior leadership teams.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Develop and Implement Financial Strategies: Formulate and execute financial strategies aimed at improving profitability and ensuring long-term financial sustainability.

  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting: Oversee the budgeting process, prepare forecasts, and manage the financial reporting system to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

  • Compliance and Regulation Management: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and industry standards, particularly those set by the National Bank of Rwanda and other relevant authorities.

  • Cash Flow and Investment Oversight: Monitor cash flow, investment activities, and financial risks to maintain the organization’s financial health.

  • Financial Data Analysis: Analyze financial data and market trends to provide actionable insights that support decision-making and business growth strategies.

  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions to secure favorable financial conditions and support business operations.

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to financial best practices.

  • Policy and Internal Control Development: Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and internal controls to mitigate financial risks, enhance transparency, and improve financial governance.

  • Reporting to Senior Management: Prepare and present financial reports, providing clear and actionable information to senior management and key stakeholders.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure that financial goals are aligned with the organization’s broader business objectives.

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s or MBA is a plus)

  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA are highly desirable.
