About The Job

The core function of the Head Wellness Therapist is to manage the day-to-day operation of the wellness center, manage the Wellness Therapist and ensure that all treatments provided are in line with the Singita Standards of Excellence and SOP.

Specific Skills
  • A minimum of 3 years as a therapist and 2 years in leadership.
  • Knowledge of world-class spa standards and procedures.
  • Reflexology experience.
  • Experience in meditation.
  • Strong leadership ability.
  • Training ability.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • English reading, writing, and speaking proficiency.
  • Excellent personal presentation.
  • Physical stamina and resilience.
  • A passion for the industry.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Holistic and alternative therapy experience is preferable.
  • Yoga experience is a bonus.
  • Engaging in Wellness Performance Check-ins (T.D.T).
  • Actively involved in the recruitment of wellness therapists.
  • Coordinating with the Group Wellness Coordinator in budget planning.
  • Self-motivated.
  • A national ID or valid working visa.
Responsibilities & Duties
  • The Head Wellness Therapist reports to the Lodge Manager, General Manager, and Group Wellness Coordinator.
  • Provide a variety of wellness experiences and treatments in line with the Singita Standards of Excellence and SOP.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness, quality, and care of equipment, products, and wellness areas.
  • Monitor and evaluate treatments and ensure ongoing skills development for therapists.
  • Administration related to guests and stock control, done accurately and timely.
  • Strategic management to reach targets.
  • Report on training and operations to the Group Wellness Coordinator.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness, quality, and care of equipment, products, and wellness areas.
  • Effective communication with the department to ensure smooth operations.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Achieve service excellence through teamwork.
  • Active participation in and effective communication and support of Singita's conservation message and purpose.
  • All roles at Singita may be required to perform other tasks as reasonably requested from time to time and as required by the business and/or operation. Singita fosters a culture of collaboration, supporting the multi-skilling of staff.
Educational Requirements
  • National Diploma / Certifications in Holistic Services.
