The IT Administrator is responsible for the general administration of the IT department’s common facilities and resources. The role focuses on maintaining, supporting, and optimizing IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation, and supporting various IT projects and initiatives. This position requires strong organizational and technical skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.

Specific Skills
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT administration or a similar role, with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, resource management, and technical support.
  • Proficiency in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure and resources.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Experience in IT asset management and procurement
  • Knowledge of IT security practices and data protection protocols.
  • Familiarity with networking, server management, and virtualization technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Oversee the daily operation of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, data storage, and other critical systems. Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of IT resources.
  • Manage the allocation and usage of IT resources, including hardware, software, and common facilities such as server rooms, data centers, and shared network environments.
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to internal teams, addressing issues related to network connectivity, hardware, software, and other IT services.
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of IT systems to minimize downtime and ensure the optimal functioning of common IT facilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including software licenses, hardware inventory, and infrastructure components. Ensure timely upgrades and replacements.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for the procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT systems and services. Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure vendor compliance.
  • Administer backup and disaster recovery procedures for critical IT systems. Ensure that data is regularly backed up and recovery plans are in place and tested
  • Implement and enforce IT security policies to safeguard IT resources. This includes managing firewalls, access controls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Assist in the implementation of IT projects and initiatives, ensuring that resources are properly allocated and that project timelines are met.
  • Provide training to users on the use of IT systems and resources. Develop and maintain documentation for IT procedures, guidelines, and policies.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
