Responsibilities & Duties
Responsible for developing and implementing JA programs nationwide, as well
as recruiting, managing, and retaining volunteers.
Responsible for preparing a detailed budget for the program and tracking
adherence to the budget by all Program officers nationwide.
Responsible for appraising program implementation in all regions for maximum
effectiveness in line with the developed timetable for maximum reach and impact.
Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organisation.
Develop and implement an alumni engagement strategy that will engage VIMP and
other alumni as volunteers in classes, mentors in JA projects, donors, and/or helping
to fundraise from their respective organisations.
Formulate, organise and monitor inter-connected projects.
Responsible for developing school recruitment and retention plan to include winning back former JAN schools and expanding into more high-profile schools in all major cities.
Manage appraisal, printing and tracking of Program kits to ensure quality and availability.
Responsible for targeted fundraising from governments, corporations, foundations,
and individuals to implement the program.
Responsible for effective stakeholder management and communication.
Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for
improvement.
Identify risks or issues with program implementation, resolve them, or escalate them to
the Executive Director.
Stay ahead of current trends and developments that can enhance program delivery
and impact.
Champion the JA brand and ensure program communications, events, and
partnerships align with the brand strategy.
Lead and manage by motivating employees to remain optimistic despite challenges,
while encouraging good performance and values.
Allocate resources and supplies to ensure staff and volunteers can complete their
responsibilities to their highest potential.
Responsible for planning and designing the program, as well as proactively monitoring
its progress, resolving issues, and initiating appropriate corrective action.
Enabling individuals to be appointed to project teams.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Providing accurate and timely program status reporting throughout its life cycle.
Provide clarity to direct reports and team members; ensure quality work efforts.
Raise funds as agreed with the Executive Director (part of the yearly performance
appraisal).
Perform other duties relating to the job role.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Business management ,project management or any related field
Experience or certification in project management.
