About The Job
The Quality Control Engineer will play a key role in supervising on-site activities, coordinating inspections with consultants, managing quality documentation, and ensuring all work meets the required quality benchmarks. Experience in fit-out, finishing, and architectural works is essential, along with strong technical and communication skills.
This role demands a proactive professional who is well-versed in quality control procedures, capable of solving problems efficiently, and committed to delivering high-standard construction outcomes.
Specific Skills
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Civil Engineering or Architecture
- Strong knowledge of construction quality control procedures
- Technical proficiency in reading and interpreting project specifications and drawings
- Site supervision and inspection skills
- Experience in inspection request (IR) processes
- Quality documentation and data management
- Understanding of fit-out and finishing works
- Problem-solving and corrective action implementation
- Knowledge of material testing procedures
- Communication and coordination skills
Responsibilities & Duties
- Ability to read and understand project specifications.
- Familiar with the construction industry quality control process
- Supervise all site works and making sure it is according to project specification and best practice.
- Issuing inspection requests to the Consultant and handing over the works to them.
- Maintaining data base for all inception requests and quality documents.
- Attending all quality testing either on site or off site.
- Clearing all consultant comment on the works and making sure approval is obtained.
- Previous experience on fit-out / finishing / architectural works is a must.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or any related field
