The Security Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all security activities within the organization on behalf of our client in the banking industry. This role involves developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and programs to safeguard the bank’s personnel, assets, and facilities. The Security Manager ensures that the organization complies with all relevant legal, regulatory, and internal security requirements while mitigating risks.

Specific Skills
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in security management, preferably in a financial institution or similar environment
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong knowledge of physical security systems and technologies, including surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead security teams and interact effectively with senior management.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on risk management and mitigation strategies.
    • Ability to work under pressure, especially in crisis situations.
    • Familiarity with local security regulations and best practices.
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Security Coordination: Coordinate and manage all security activities, including physical security, access control, surveillance systems, and security personnel, across all facilities and branches.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures to protect the organization’s assets, personnel, and information. Regularly update policies to adapt to evolving security risks.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats to the organization. Develop mitigation strategies and action plans to address these risks.
  • Crisis Management: Lead the organization’s crisis management efforts, including developing contingency plans, coordinating emergency response efforts, and conducting regular security drills.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory security requirements. Prepare and submit regular security reports to senior management and regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external security vendors and service providers. Oversee contracts for security equipment, systems, and services, ensuring the organization receives high-quality support.
  • Incident Response: Oversee investigations into security breaches or incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Coordinate with law enforcement and other external agencies when necessary.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and supervision to the security team, including training, performance management, and professional development.
  • Budget Management: Manage the security budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and investment in necessary security technologies and personnel.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a reputable University
