About The Job
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the planning and execution of scheduled maintenance, diagnosing faults, repairing equipment, and ensuring continuous operational efficiency. This role demands strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
Specific Skills
- 1 to 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance or a similar engineering role.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and maintenance management systems is an asset
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in time-sensitive situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent technical aptitude, hands-on mechanical skills, and sound theoretical knowledge.
- Proven problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Experience with diagnostic tools such as ET & SIS is an advantage.
- Possess a valid category B driver’s license.
- Proficient communication skills in either English or French.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Plan and execute scheduled maintenance operations in line with service plans.
- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and equipment breakdowns.
- Diagnose technical faults in accordance with manufacturer procedures.
- Conduct repairs on equipment and perform post-repair testing to ensure functionality.
- Supervise contractors, engineering, and technical personnel during maintenance activities.
- Order specialized components, accessories, and equipment as required.
- Develop and document maintenance procedures and best practices.
- Manage inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment to ensure availability.
- Maintain detailed records of defects, repair activities, and service history.
Educational Requirements
- A degree or diploma in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related technical field.
