We are looking for a Retail Pharmacist Supervisor reporting to the Head of Operations to oversee daily activities across functions such as Pharmacy Operations, Achieving Sales Targets, Manage Insurance Refund Claims, Facilitate Insurance Partnerships with all Medical Insurers in Rwanda, Manage Pharmacist’s Performance, Recruitment, Selection, Supervision and Training of Pharmacists and Nurses, Financial Compliance, Managing Stock Losses across all outlets, Expense Management, Customer Service and Experience, Compliance to RFDA Laws relating to pharmacy, Management and Prevention of Expires Product, Compliance to Company Policies and Procedures in our Pharmacy Retail stores.

Specific Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a Retail Pharmacy Management
  • He/she must be licensed as Pharmacist
  • Experience in inventory management, preferably in a healthcare or Retail Pharmacy
  • Relevant certification or training in pharmaceutical and surgical consumables inventory management and storage
  • Familiarity with FDA Inspections & Licensing requirements
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical and surgical consumables regulations and guidelines
  • Proven experience in pharmacy and surgical consumables store management or a related role within a healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory control
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
 
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Supervising daily activities for all Goodlife pharmacy daily activities including Keep in proper form all records required relating to the purchase and dispensing of all prescription required drugs including controlled substance requirements and eliminate from stock all misbranded and adulterated drugs including outdated drugs and drugs not properly labeled.
  • Supervise the storage, sale, dispensing or compounding of drugs, and restricted devices.
  • Ensure coverage of the pharmacy by licensed pharmacists; be certain that the pharmacy is properly registered and operating in accordance with the present laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensure against unauthorized refills of prescriptions and unauthorized sale of legend drugs.
  • Ensure against unauthorized entry into the pharmacy's dispensing and compounding area and ensure appropriate security.
  • Instruct ALL employees, either orally or in writing, at regular intervals relative to the appropriate activities in connection with the practice of pharmacy.
  • Issue verbal and written notice to each of his/her subordinates concerning the laws, rules and regulations (federal, state, and local) relative to proper pharmacy practice.
  • Preparing the documents for the new opening pharmacies and doing a follow-up on Rwanda FDA
  • Working on insurances partners to make sure that all our pharmacies are eligible to have it.
  • Working closely with the head of operations in order to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Visiting the Goodlife stores and giving training where is necessary 80% in stores and 20% in office.
  • Daily store visits to ensure operational compliance in all pharmacies – (1 store visit per day scheduling, visit of intent)
  • Submit store visit checklists to Head of Operations weekly for discussion and action.
  • Manage expired stock in all pharmacies.
  • Manage the insurance refund/ claim process with insurance partners for all branches.
  • Train new pharmacists and nurses upon resumption
  • Driving pharmacy sales to achieve monthly sales targets in all branches.

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
