About The Job

The Relationship Officer is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients by offering tailored financial products and services that meet their needs. The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service, optimizing value to the client, and minimizing risks and costs to the bank. The Relationship Officer plays a key role in driving business growth within the Corporate & Investment Banking division by understanding client needs, cross-selling products, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Specific Skills
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in relationship management, corporate banking, or investment banking. Experience with large corporate clients is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate banking products, financial services, and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • High level of customer service orientation and the ability to meet client needs proactively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients by understanding their financial needs and offering appropriate banking solutions. Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients.
  • Provide clients with a range of financial products and services such as loans, treasury products, trade finance, and investment solutions. Ensure that the products offered add value to the client and align with their financial objectives.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service by promptly addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring that clients are satisfied with the bank's offerings. Enhance customer loyalty by providing proactive support.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with client relationships, including credit, operational, and market risks. Ensure that all products and services provided to clients meet the bank's risk appetite and compliance requirements.
  • Support the Relationship Manager in identifying and developing new business opportunities within the Corporate & Investment Banking space. Engage with potential clients to introduce the bank’s products and services.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell additional products and services to existing clients. Collaborate with internal teams such as Treasury, Risk, and Product Development to offer comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of credit proposals for clients. Ensure that all necessary documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner for credit approval.
  • Monitor the performance of the assigned client portfolio, ensuring that client accounts are maintained in accordance with the bank’s standards. Track client transactions, repayments, and other financial activities.
  • Stay informed of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments that may impact client portfolios. Provide insights to senior management and Relationship Managers to inform decision-making.
  • Collect and analyze client feedback to continuously improve the bank’s products and services. Work with internal teams to address any areas of improvement.
