The Relationship Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction to ensure the development and maintenance of strong customer relationships. This role involves delivering excellent financial products and services that add value to clients while minimizing costs and risks to the bank. The Relationship Manager plays a critical role in driving business growth by understanding client needs, managing a portfolio of corporate and commercial clients, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Specific Skills
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in relationship management, corporate banking, or commercial banking. Proven track record of managing high-value client portfolios is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of banking products, financial services, and market trends.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the relationship management team, ensuring alignment with the bank’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate and commercial clients by understanding their financial needs and offering tailored banking solutions. Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
  • Identify and deliver a range of financial products and services, including loans, treasury products, trade finance, and investment solutions. Ensure that products offered meet the clients' needs and contribute to their financial success.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with client relationships, including credit, operational, and market risks. Ensure compliance with the bank’s risk management policies and procedures.
  • Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities within the Corporate and Commercial Banking sectors. Engage with potential clients to introduce the bank’s offerings and convert leads into profitable relationships.
  • Oversee the performance of assigned client portfolios, ensuring that accounts are managed in accordance with the bank's standards. Monitor client transactions, repayments, and financial activities.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell additional products and services to existing clients. Collaborate with internal teams to provide comprehensive solutions that meet client needs.
  • Conduct thorough credit assessments and prepare credit proposals for clients. Work with the credit team to ensure timely approvals while maintaining compliance with internal policies.
  • Collect and analyze client feedback to continuously improve the bank’s products and services. Work closely with operational teams to address any areas of concern.
  • Stay informed of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on client portfolio performance and opportunities for growth.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
