About The Job
The Agency Banking role is responsible for driving the expansion of the bank’s financial services through partnerships with third-party agents, focusing on increasing financial inclusion and enhancing operational efficiency. The position will oversee the development and management of the agency banking network, ensuring that banking products and services reach underserved markets, and managing relationships with agents to ensure compliance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Specific Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in agency banking, retail banking, or partnership management. Experience in managing third-party networks, particularly in rural or underserved markets, is highly preferred.

Responsibilities & Duties
- Agency Network Expansion: Identify and onboard new agents to expand the bank’s outreach, particularly in underserved areas. Develop and execute a strategy to grow the agency banking network, with a focus on increasing financial inclusion and enhancing the customer base.
- Partnership Development: Build and manage relationships with third-party agents, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver banking services on behalf of the bank. Provide training, support, and regular communication to agents to ensure their operations align with the bank’s standards and goals.
- Operational Efficiency: Ensure that the agency banking system operates smoothly and efficiently, minimizing disruptions and ensuring that agents have the tools and resources needed to provide high-quality service. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any technical or operational issues.
- Service Delivery & Quality Assurance: Monitor the performance of agents to ensure they deliver exceptional service to customers. Implement processes to assess the quality of service provided by agents and address any service delivery issues in a timely manner.
- Financial Inclusion: Drive initiatives that enhance financial inclusion, ensuring that the bank’s products and services are accessible to a broader population, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
- Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure that all agents comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Monitor agent transactions for fraud, money laundering, and other risks, and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for agency banking operations. Use data-driven insights to make decisions and optimize the agency banking network. Provide regular reports to senior management on the performance of the network.
- Marketing & Customer Acquisition: Work with the marketing team to promote agency banking services and acquire new customers through the agent network. Implement campaigns to raise awareness and drive the adoption of agency banking services.
- Technology Integration: Collaborate with the IT and digital banking teams to ensure the seamless integration of technology in agency banking operations. Ensure that agents are equipped with the latest digital tools and are trained on their usage.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. Professional certifications in banking, digital banking, or agent network management are an advantage.
