About The Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Credit Offer Relationship Manager to join our team in Kigali, Rwanda. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and expanding relationships with both existing and potential clients, offering tailored credit solutions to meet their financial needs while ensuring compliance with risk management policies. This position requires strong analytical skills, a customer-centric approach, and a deep understanding of the credit landscape in Rwanda
Specific Skills
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit management, relationship management, or a similar role within the financial sector.
- Strong understanding of credit risk assessment, financial analysis, and local regulatory requirements in Rwanda.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse financial statements and assess the creditworthiness of clients.
- Knowledge of financial products, credit policies, and the Rwandan banking system.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of credit management software is a plus.
- Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda; French is a plus.
- Experience working in Rwanda’s banking, microfinance, or financial services sector.
- Understanding of industry regulations and standards, including credit laws in Rwanda.
- Certifications in credit management, financial analysis, or risk assessment are advantageous.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and potential clients, serving as the primary point of contact for all credit-related inquiries.
- Develop and present customized credit offerings to meet the financial needs of clients while ensuring adherence to risk management policies.
- Assess client creditworthiness, analyse financial statements, and recommend appropriate credit products.
- Manage and monitor the performance of the credit portfolio, ensuring clients meet their repayment obligations.
- Conduct market research to understand trends, customer needs, and industry regulations, ensuring the credit offerings are competitive and compliant.
- Oversee the preparation and signing of credit agreements, ensuring all documentation is accurate and in line with Rwandan financial regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, risk, collections) to ensure efficient service delivery and resolution of credit-related issues.
- Educate clients about credit processes, repayment schedules, and financial products.
- Report on portfolio performance, credit risk, and client feedback to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies governing the credit sector in Rwanda.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or professional certifications such as ACCA, CFA are an advantage).
