About The Job

The HR Administrator plays a key role in supporting the People Department by managing day -to-day administrative tasks, maintaining employee records, and assisting with recruitment,
onboarding, and compliance processes. This role ensures smooth HR operations and contributes to positive employee experience.

Specific Skills
  • At least 2 years of experience in HR or administrative role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach.
  • Experience with payroll systems and employee benefits administration.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Hospitality Background is preferable.
  • Reliable and compassionate nature with a real concern for others.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • The People Manager reports to the People Manager and General Manager.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of new staff across departments.
  • Assist in the recruitment process including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Track attendance and maintaining updated employee records.
  • Help organize training and maintain learning records.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, welfare coordination, and leave tracking.
  • Coordinate morale-building activities such as quarterly birthday celebrations and employee recognition.
  • Help promote a strong, inclusive staff culture by offering general morale support and consistent team engagement.
  • Generate HR reports and metrics for management review.
  • Handle employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
  • Track staff medical utilization reports and support staff.
  • Ensure new staff are onboarded in LMS.
  • Maintain filing systems, records, and internal documentation with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations and ensure availability of office resources.
  • Coordinate logistics and set-up for meetings, training, events, and internal communications.
  • Manage administrative documentation, including HR contract management, deadlines, evaluations, and performance tracking.
  • Active participation in and effective communication and support of Singita's conservation message and purpose.
  • All roles at Singita may be required to perform other tasks as reasonably requested from time to time and as required by the business and/or operation. Singita fosters a culture of collaboration, and with this support of the multi-skilling staff.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
