About The Job
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Air Ticket / Travel Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing flight bookings, issuing tickets, and providing excellent customer service to our clients. This role requires strong knowledge of airline systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced travel environment.
Specific Skills
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in airline ticketing or travel consultancy.
- Proficient in at least one GDS system (Amadeus, Galileo, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of international and domestic airline operations and fare structures.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple bookings simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, email, booking software).
- Fluent in English; knowledge of French or Kinyarwanda is a plus.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Book and issue airline tickets for both domestic and international travel using Global
- Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus or Galileo.
- Advise clients on flight schedules, fares, visa requirements, and travel regulations.
- Handle ticket changes, cancellations, and refunds accurately.
- Prepare invoices, quotations, and travel itineraries for clients.
- Maintain records of bookings, ticketing, and payments in company systems.
- Provide timely responses to customer inquiries via email, phone, and in-person.
- Resolve client issues and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Coordinate with airlines, travel partners, and suppliers for smooth travel arrangements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, airline promotions, and travel regulations.
- Support marketing or sales efforts when needed (e.g., promoting special fares or travel packages).
Educational Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or related field is preferred.
