A Finance Officer’s duties include posting journal entries, updating financial statements, maintaining
accounts receivable and accounts payable, paying monthly payroll, and preparing financial reports.
Responsibilities & Duties
Supporting Financial Operations: assist in various tasks such as recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: handle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, such as processing vendor invoices, issuing customer invoices, and monitoring payments.
Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts regularly. This involves analyzing financial data and providing insights to management for decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, monitor, and manage budgets in collaboration with various departments. Forecast future financial performance based on past trends and current market conditions.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow to ensure there is enough liquidity to meet operational needs and financial obligations. Manage receivables and payables efficiently.
Preparing Balance Sheet: The finance officer is responsible for preparing the balance sheet at regular intervals, typically at the end of each accounting period (quarterly, semi-annually, or annually)
Supporting Audit and Reporting: finance officer duties will include audits and financial reporting processes. assist in gathering and organizing financial data, preparing audit schedules, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field preferred.
Professional Experience & Skills
2-3 years of experience in a related role would be advantageous.
