Heaven Holdings Ltd wishes to recruit an Income Auditor who will be responsible for ensuring that the entire revenue of the hotel is accounted & recorded & there is no leakage / pilferage thereof.

Specific Skills
  • CPA qualification is added value.
  • 3 years in a similar position within a fast-paced reputable organization; hospitality Industry is an added value.
  • Good knowledge of auditing of hotel.
  • Strong reporting, interpersonal, analytical, and coordination skills.
Responsibilities & Duties
  • To audit charges to City Ledger and credit card companies before forwarding them to the Accounts Receivable section.
  • To audit daily Rooms, Food and Beverage revenue summaries and their supporting transaction reports of the Night Audit process.
  • To audit revenues from telephone, telex and facsimile, unless these are automatically linked to the computer billing.
  • To audit revenues from other operated Departments such as gift shop, Laundry and Business Center for completeness.
  • To ensure that all the day’s Banquet revenue has been recorded.
  • To ensure day use revenues is correctly recorded.
  • To verify that the computerized Daily Report reflects completely all the day’s transactions.
  • To review paid-outs and allowance vouchers for reasonableness, proper approval and supporting documentation.
  • To verify supports for complimentary and house use rooms and for rooms charged at rates varying from rack potential.
  • To spot check the accuracy of “regular” and “contractual” room rates in the system.
  • To review all house, use and entertainment checks for propriety and ensure that they are signed and authorized.
  • To audit all Food and Beverage outlet checks on the ‘list of Negative Check Lines’ for explanation and approval by Outlet Managers/delegated personnel, and by the Chef in instances of cancelled captain’s /automatic kitchen orders.
  • To audit the ‘list of Voided Restaurant Checks’ for proper approval and explanations.
  • To check the sequential use of Food and Beverage checks, foreign exchange vouchers, official receipts and to investigate any missing or irregular forms.
  • To review guest ledger balances daily and research questionable moments.
  • To investigate late charges and skippers. All details should be forwarded to the Credit Manager for further action.
  • To ensure that all employee ledger accounts are closed at month end.
  • To carry out surprise checks of rooms, F & B and laundry.
  • To reconcile and maintain Spur ledger as well as billing.
  • The goal of the Income Auditor will be to ensure all revenues to be registered correctly and to be attributed to the corresponding profit center.
  • To monitor the organized execution of the night audit program by Front Office Personnel.
  • To maintain organized files of all pertinent audit records.
  • To provide courteous and professional service at all times and maintain good working relationships with all colleagues.
  • To be fully aware of the Hotel’s policies and procedures and to adhere to them.
  • To make Journal Vouchers at the month end for closing of the month.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics.
