About The Job
The procurement is responsible for developing and executing strategies that ensure effective sourcing, cost optimization, and supplier relationship management. The role ensures procurement function is aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.
Specific Skills
- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in procurement and/or supply chain.
- Demonstrated experience in the NGO sector
- Professional Supply Chain certification (CIPS) is an added advantage.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale procurement operations and vendor relationships
Responsibilities & Duties
- Procurement Leadership
- Develop and execute enterprise-wide procurement strategies that deliver measurable cost savings and operational efficiencies.
- Manage relationships and coordinate delivery with external training vendors and consultants to ensure high-quality service delivery and contract compliance
- Collaborate with vendors, IT, and internal stakeholders to resolve system issues and optimize performance, ensuring seamless integration of procurement systems with business operations.
- Implement vendor performance management frameworks and conduct regular supplier assessments to maintain service quality standards.
- Lead contract negotiation processes for significant organizational agreements, ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation
- Strategic Leadership
- Provide strategic input to develop enterprise-wide procurement and facilities strategies in partnership with the executive leadership team.
- Drive innovation in procurement practices and facilities management through emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Lead complex initiatives, mentor staff, and advise leadership on procurement and facilities strategy and organizational priorities
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement Management, or a related field.
