About The Job

This role is responsible for the provision of service to customer vehicles in line with the ‘fix it right the first time’ standard, in order to support high customer satisfaction as well as to attain revenue and throughput targets for the branch.

Specific Skills
  • 5 years working experience as a diagnostic and units’ repair technician

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Carry out repairs as well as scheduled vehicle maintenance as per the CFAO Mobility Rwanda & vehicle VW quality standards for high customer satisfaction and retention rates;
  • Carry out diagnosis on the vehicle using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Carry out engine and gearbox overhauls for Volkswagen to repair faults and fix it right the first time.
  • Use Volkswagen Work instructions and applications in all repairs.
  • Work efficiently in line with Volkswagen flat rates.
  • Create technical reports and submit to Volkswagen. Implement solutions provided by the Volkswagen.
  • Support less experienced technicians with the diagnosis of complex repairs/service to ensure customers are provided with high quality service, and to pass on experience and knowledge to the less experienced team;
  • Organize their work area (bay) in compliance with CFAO Mobility Rwanda standards, to ensure the work station is always safe, clean and tidy.
  • Prepare timely, clear and precise defect reports in order to upsell and consequently generate more revenue for the workshop.
  • Test the functionality of parts and systems.
  • Be prepared and willing to get additional certification as needed.
  • Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
  • Working in accordance to CFAO Mobility Rwanda ANZEN policies and guidelines.
  • Working in accordance to CFAO Mobility Rwanda policies and procedures.
  • Understand and apply KAIZEN within his work environment.
  • Keep a professional appearance.
Educational Requirements
  • Diploma in automotive engineering
