About The Job

The West Africa Mobility Manager is responsible for exploring and initiating mobility products, such as ride-hailing services, in the West Africa region using new VW cars. This role involves establishing a mobility value chain that includes mobility products, the used car market, and digital services. The manager will build relationships with key partners, particularly in airports, tourism, and corporate sectors, to drive business development.

Specific Skills
Related Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience, in one or more of the following: Sales and Marketing/Business Development/ Business or Financial Management/ Market Intelligence/ Tourism / Logistics
  • Extensive experience in dealing with large client groups
  • Working experience in Nigeria is essential
  • Regional working experience would be advantageous
  • Working experience for a recognized international consulting firm preferably, or a multinational company.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Explore, analyze, and recommend Business development opportunities
  • Initiate new mobility products in the West Africa region, using new VW cars.
  • Develop business by identifying mobility partners in the West Africa region with an initial focus on airport shuttles, tourism and corporate shuttles.
  • Establish a mobility value chain in the West Africa region consisting of mobility products, used cars market, digital services.
  • Analysing Client feedback and formulating recommendations regarding changes to vehicle specifications; and facilitating the quick resolution of technical queries from Clients.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities, devise actions plan to make proposals to Business Partners/ Clients and negotiate to conclusion.
  • Build and maintain long term relationships with Business Partners / Clients through effective communication
  • Analyse regional market preferences to recommend to Business Partners/ Clients appropriate allocation of models and equipment levels that meet local market conditions.
  • Review business plans to ensure that all objectives are addressed in line with planning and execution criteria.
  • To ensure that Business Partners/ Clients are assisted in the acquiring vehicles, balancing Corporate and client needs and expectations.
  • Promote VW products to potential and existing clients throughout the region.
  • Provide strategic support to Business Partners/ Clients to improve performance to enhance sustainability.
  • Analyse Client Agreements and corresponding schedules, operating standards and procedures in order to highlight and correct non-compliance.
Educational Requirements
  • A recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/ Sales & Marketing / Logistics
  • Proficiency in French would be advantageous
